How are stainless steel tanks used in industries?

There are several processes required in the industries. This may include transportation and storage also. In this blog, we will review the processes that stainless steel tanks serve.

Mixing tanks

A stainless steel mixing tank can serve the purpose of mixing two liquids. Mixing tanks are used in processing adhesives, chemicals, cosmetics, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, etc.

Pressure Tanks

Pressure tanks are used to store vapors and gases. A stainless steel process tank that can hold liquid at different pressure is used in the food and beverage industry. They can also be used for the purpose of heating.

Insulated Tanks

Where the process requires retention of heat, insulated tanks are used. There are double-walled tanks that can ensure insulation. Insulated tanks can help in the reduction of energy consumption. Insulated tanks are needed for the purpose of transportation also.

Storage tanks

For the purpose of storage, tanks are built with certain specifications. Some industries prefer horizontal storage tanks, and others prefer vertical ones. A storage tank has to be fabricated according to the requirements of the industry.

Boiler tanks

The heating of liquids is needed in many of the processes in industries. Therefore boiler tanks can be helpful. A half-pipe tank is a type of stainless steel process tank that can serve the purpose of a boiler tank. Half-pipe coils in this type of tank can transfer heat to the liquid.

Transportation Tanks

To ensure the safe transport, there are tanks specially manufactured for the purpose. They can be used for transporting liquid like water, milk or petroleum. They have oval-shaped, having flat ends. There is a manhole provided in these tanks.

Summary

A stainless steel process tank serves varied purposes in industries. They can be fabricated according to the requirement of the industry. Mixing, an important process, can be made possible with a stainless steel mixing tank.
